In 2012, God led me to discover a whole new world in India. I always wanted to live overseas, but I never thought I would find myself in India. I lived in Mumbai, one of the world’s largest megacities. Every day was a sensory overload. Every day was full of thousands of people, noises, unfamiliar sights and smells, new foods, new friends. Then it became more familiar, and even had a feeling of home. The harshness of a big city was countered by the kind hospitality of so many people.
While in Mumbai, I was able to paint and even teach some friends to paint with an impressionistic style. I met other artists, who helped me host workshops reaching many Indians as well as other expats in the city.
These paintings are an expression of my experiences in incredible India.
