The Old Barn
The old barn seems to have embedded itself into this scene, as if it is just as much a natural part of the field as the treeline or the tall grasses finding their way under the barn’s shade and up its walls. The darker reds and greens of the tree and roof contrast each other, as do the softer warm greens of the grass and the pink clouds. The thick brushstrokes create texture and movement in this miniature landscape painting.
